How to use White Sage?
*Before burning, open the doors or windows*
- Light up the White Sage stick or leaf using the tealight candle / a match.
- ( Do not use lighter)
- Hold the stick at a 45 degree angle to light it up for about 10-20seconds.
- Once you see small flame burning up, shake the stick / leaf or gently blow out the flame so that you see orange embers on the lit end and white smoke.
- You can start the process of clearing your space.
Remember to extinguish your sage.
Always stay present! If you see little embers fall on the ground, tamp them out immediately. Never let the burning sage stay unattended for any reason.
Once you're ready to extinguish a sage smudge stick, press the burning tip firmly into your fireproof bowl, dirt, or sand until the smoke no longer rises.
